The wine

                                              ~The Homeless~
It isn't everyday that you find a bottle of exquisite wine inside a garbage can. The bottle was sealed and from the looks of it i could tell it was pretty expensive. Quite often i would see people sipping wine in fancy glasses in fancy hotels with their fancy food and to be truthfully honest i fancied being in their place. Today the heavens seemed to be blessing me i had money enough for food and to top it all i had a bottle of wine to go with it. Except for the smell of the garbage bin lingering on the outside of  the bottle, the wine i believed would in pretty good condition. I took out the halg hamburger and french fries that the fat guy had given to me in the park and opened the bottle of wine. Tonight was going to be a grand night of my life.

My husband was still not home. I had set the grand dinner on the table already and just in time. He would be home any moment. I looked at the clock and just then I heard the door bell. I opened the door and he greeted me with a hug. He was surprisingly pretty energetic and cheerful for this time of the day, but still it was a pleasant surprise. As soon as he saw the table he just jumped on the food and it was only after i literally manhandled him away from the table that he went to change and take a shower. After coming out he headed straight for the table and ate to his hearts content. After we were finished with the food he came up to me with a smile and kissed me on the cheeks and whispered a thank you in my ears. He went for the bed and imediately fell asleep which he made clear by his loud snores. I looked at the bottle of wine and the bottle of methanol close to it. I picked them both up and threw them into the garbage can

                                           ~The policemen~
A dead homeless guy and a half empty bottle of wine, a half eaten burger and some French fries. The dead body pretty much suggested that its owner had been poisoned. The only fact to be divulged remained with what. I noted the wine model and make and the address of the store from french fries pack. I clicked a photo of the dead man's face as i had trouble with faces. I had trouble with this job, I had trouble with my kids, to sum it up i had a lot of troubles. The bottle of wine gave the peculiar smell of a garbage can implying he had picked it up from a garbage can probably from aa one nearby.
By the time the lab report came i already had a suspect. The French fries store was not much of a help as i was pretty sure someone must have given the dead man some leftover burger and French fries so the chances of them being poisoned was low. The wine on the other hand was expensive and the store-man gave enough detail about the customer for me to locate her. A go through throw her recent grocery list i found the poison . Purchased from a local retail store. A friendly chat with her neighbors told me about the occasional or near everyday fights with her husband. A broken marriage, lack of friends and family,  not much to do in life, a history of mental problem, sad and frustrated the perfect traits of a person on the verge to take the plunge in the world of crimes. It was pointless to pursue the case as there were to many but and ifs i could never get it to the courtroom so i gave it up . Telling the husband would be futile as he won't believe me, i just had to wait and watch that the change of heart would last long or not.
